Medical Laboratory Scientists are trained professionals who perform and evaluate laboratory tests using state of the art laboratory instruments.

  • Department of Labor: "workforce crisis in CLS"
  • Wide range of work opportunities and a variety of science based testing
  • Starting salaries: $17 - $25/hour

Histotechnicians are medical laboratory professionals who prepare and stain tissue specimens for microscopic interpretation by a pathologist.

  • 9 month certificate program (with minimal pre- requisites)
  • Program does not require or grant a college degree
  • Starting salaries $14 - $20/hour

Cytotechnologists are highly skilled laboratory professionals who microscopically identify and interpret abnormalities in cellular specimens.

  • One year training program (with pre- requisites)
  • Family friendly work hours, no weekends or call
  • Starting salaries: $23 - $27/hour
