(If you are a new user please do not create your own account.
You will be assigned a username and password upon enrollment in the LEND program.)

1. Go to the "Blackboard login" link on the right of the LEND homepage. The Blackboard Welcome screen will load. The system will then ask you for a username and password. The username and password will be sent out to you via your email you registered with.

2. Upon entering Blackboard, on the right hand side of your screen - you will see your courses labeled Lab Science Seminar and/or Case Studies depending upon enrollment. Click on the course that you would like to access.

3. Once in the corresponding course you will see course icons on the right hand side of the screen. Each course icon is described below:

1. Announcements appear on the first page. Announcements will contain a list of updates and any additional information. Please review frequently.
2. To access Case Studies click on the Case Studies icon. Each case study will be available in Adobe Acrobat format. You will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer to read this file. To download Adobe Acrobat Reader go to: http://www.adobe.com. Each case study will also have a quiz to submit online in its corresponding Case Study folder.
3. To access Seminars click on the button labeled Seminars, this is where the 10 lectures for the session will appear. Items that will appear in individual Seminar folders.
   1. Lecture (Streaming) — Click to listen and view the lecture
   2. Audio Lecture (Zip Download) — if you would rather be off-line when viewing the lecture, use this option.
      • Click on click here
      • Click Save
      • Once the file is saved, open the zip folder
      • In the folder, double-click "index.html" or "lmsindex.html" they both have the explorer icon)
      • Click Open
      • **If a black screen appears along with a pop-up that says "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this file from showing active content…" — Right click on this pop-up and click "Allow blocked content"; Click OK**
   3. Handout — this is the PowerPoint handout for the lecture. You may print this if you would like. The Powerpoint handouts are in PDF format. You can download a free Adobe Acrobat reader at http://www.adobe.com to view the handouts.
   4. Evaluation — the evaluation must be completed in order to receive credit for viewing the lecture.
      • After completing and submitting your evaluation, it will be automatically recorded in the system, thus giving you credit for the session.
      • Evaluations should only be completed after the participant has listened to the lecture.
   5. LEND Staff icon — You will see contact information for our LEND coordinator.
4. Click on the Check Transcript Icon to view your progress and make sure your evaluation form was submitted and received properly.
